A Certificate Program in Arts in Prevention - a joint venture with The Center For Children and Families,Continuing Education and Professional Development Program of Rutgers The State University of New Jersey.
This certificate program in Using the Expressive Arts in Prevention is intended to enhance the skills and knowledge of those professionals working with youth in various situations specifically on how the arts can be used in positive youth development and as part of a comprehensive prevention strategy.
The certificate consists of 9 required courses plus 2 elective courses on a non-clinical basis with clinical components to choose from for those who require clinical hours. Courses can be taken on an individual basis,
separate from the certificate.

1.The Arts in Prevention: An Overview (two days)
2.Youth Development Through the Arts (one day)
3.Developing, Planning, Implementing: Creating Projects and Programs (one day)
4. Expressive Arts For Youth- Experiential Work broken down by disciplines ( four days)
5.Building A Safe Environment
6.Differences and Diversity in art groups
